Slickrock Loop Trail is a 3-mile loop in Tennessee's Cherokee National Forest, within the Ocoee Ranger District and the South Cherokee National Forest & Wildlife Management Area. The trail rises from about 1,880 feet to a high point of 2,231 feet, with a total elevation gain of 442 feet and a steepest stretch of about 19% grade at roughly 0.6 miles in. It is an easy hike, and bikes are allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 48°F, while July highs reach about 89°F. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the loop run cooler. The trail makes an easy pairing with other outings in the area. Naked Widow Loop Trail is about 0.3 miles away and Clemmer Trail about 0.5 miles. McKamy Lake, a fishing spot, is 0.8 miles off, and Chilhowee Campground is about 1.1 miles away.
