Sarah Key Patten is a short, moderate hike in Tennessee, about half a mile from the community of Harris Hills. The route is an out-and-back of about a mile, with a high point of 683 feet and a low of 665 feet, so the climb is only about 10 feet of elevation gain. It's a quick outing, easy to fit into a day spent exploring the surrounding trails. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Chattanooga show October highs around 74°F with lows near 51°F, and April is similar at about 74°F by day and 50°F at night.
