Surfside Beach: 16 North is a public beach access point managed by the Town of Surfside Beach in South Carolina, about a mile from the town of Surfside Beach. The access has parking. For a beach visit, summer brings the warmest weather, with typical July highs around 88°F and lows near 72°F based on averages from a nearby weather station at Brookgreen Gardens. That is also the wettest stretch, with about 11 wet days a month in July and August. For milder conditions, May and September see typical highs of 80°F and 83°F. Within a few miles are the Yaupon Nature Trail and Sculptured Oak Nature Trail. A little farther are the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, about 7 miles away, and the Red-cockaded Woodpecker Trail, about 9 miles away.
