Breakheart Ledge is a bouldering area in Rhode Island, about a mile from the town of Lewis City. It sits among a cluster of trails, a pond and other climbing spots, making it an easy base for a day of climbing, hiking or fishing in the area. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the V0 to V5 range on the V scale. The easiest are Sniffles and The Woe Down at V0, and the hardest is Perfectly Cromulent at V5. High Hopes is a V3 that was first climbed by Mark Sprague in 2016. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Coventry run to highs around 71°F in May and 74°F in September, while July highs average about 85°F. The Breakheart trail and The Holy Grail mountain biking route are both within half a mile. Breakheart Pond is about 0.6 miles away, and The Penny Hill Boulders are roughly 1.7 miles off.
