Wetland Loop Trail is a short, flat ride on the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge At Tinicum in southeastern Pennsylvania. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service manages the land. The route is 0.7 miles out and back, and it lies entirely within the refuge's low-lying wetland country. With only a 19-foot climb and a 19-foot descent, it is rated easy for mountain bikers. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Philadelphia run from highs around 74°F in May to about 67°F in October, while July highs average 88°F. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the trail. The Turkey Foot Trail is 0.4 miles away and the Tinicum Trail is 0.5 miles away, both within a short ride. Eastwick Trail is 1.1 miles off, and paddlers can take the Little Tinicum Island Circumnavigation, about 2.4 miles away.
