Pond Loop is a short, easy mountain biking route in Harrison Hills Park in western Pennsylvania, about 0.4 miles from the town of Harrison. It's a short out-and-back ride, under a mile long, with a total climb of about 125 feet. The route starts at roughly 1,050 feet and reaches a high point of about 1,130 feet. The steepest stretch comes in the first tenth of a mile, with a 10% grade. The trail is low-impact and easy to fit into a longer day on the park's network of trails. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 83°F. That station sits several hundred feet below the route, so temperatures on the loop run a little cooler. The Rachel Carson Trail and Scouts Trail both start about 0.1 mile away. Climbers can head to Harrison Hills Park, about 0.4 mile off, and hikers can try the Spicebush Trail, about 0.3 mile away.
