Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site
About
Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site is a small 3-acre park on the Oregon coast, about 1.1 miles from the town of Cannon Beach. Its compact size makes it an easy stop or a starting point for exploring the surrounding area. The most comfortable time to visit is late summer, when typical averages from a nearby weather station in Seaside show highs around 65 to 66°F in July and August and only about seven wet days a month. The rest of the year is noticeably wetter, with rain on roughly 20 days a month through much of winter. Nearby options include the Cannon Beach climbing area less than a mile away, the Forest Preserve Trail and Lagoon Trail Loop about a mile and a half out, and paddling on West Fork Ecola Creek a little over 2 miles off.
