Suttle Lake is a Forest Service fishing lake in the Sisters Ranger District of Oregon's Deschutes National Forest. It sits at the edge of the district, with two campgrounds right at its shore: South Shore is about 0.2 miles away and Blue Bay about 0.4 miles away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction put July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 38°F and lows near 24°F. Several short hikes start within a mile, including the Suttle Lake Loop and Lake Creek. The Oregon Volcanoes climbing area is about 5 miles away, and the Metolius River offers more fishing roughly 9 miles out.
