West Park is a campground in Oregon managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, set within the West Park land unit. It is a reservable site with electric hookups and picnic tables, and no campsites are listed as accessible. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby McNary Dam weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 78°F, with only a few wet days in each month. July and August average highs near 88°F, and winter brings highs in the low 40s and about 13 wet days a month. Spillway Park - Chinook Shelter is about half a mile away, and McNary Beach - Sockeye Shelter is roughly 1.7 miles off. Across the river in Washington, Portage Cliffs Bouldering is about a mile away, and the Lewis and Clark Commemorative Trail is about 2.9 miles away.
