Eel Creek Campground is a Forest Service campground in Oregon's Siuslaw National Forest, within the Central Coast Ranger District-ODNRA. It is a base for exploring the surrounding trails and dunes, with Spinreel Campground about 1.6 miles away and the John Dellenback Dune just 0.4 miles off. The site has flush toilets, and a fee is charged. Summer is the mildest stretch, with typical July and August highs around 70°F and lows near 52°F, according to averages from a nearby weather station at Winchester Bay. Winters stay cool, with typical highs in the low 50s and lows around 39°F. Several trails sit close by. The John Dellenback Dune is the nearest, and Hall Lake Loop and the Schuttpelz East Trail are both within about a mile. For time on the water, Eel Creek offers canoeing roughly 1.4 miles away.
