Drews Creek is a Forest Service campground in the Lakeview Ranger District of Oregon's Fremont-Winema National Forest. It sits in the high country of the district, and the nearest town is Lakeview, about 10 miles away. The site is simple and low-key. Vault toilets are the only amenity, and no fees are required to use the campground. That makes it an easy stop for an overnight stay without the need for reservations or planning around a fee. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bly show July and August highs around 86°F with only two or three wet days a month, while winter highs sit in the low 40s and lows near 20°F. Dog Lake campground is about 7 miles away and makes a convenient second option for an extended trip.
