Blue Pool is a Forest Service campground in the Middle Fork Ranger District of Oregon's Willamette National Forest. It sits about 0.1 mile from the Blue Pool Campground (Middle Fork Ranger District) entry point, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. The amenities are simple, so plan on a basic setup rather than full services. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Oakridge Fish Hatchery weather station show July and August highs around 80 to 81°F with only two or three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and rain on more than half the days. Nearby options include the Owl Cabin Way hike about 2.4 miles away and the Hills Creek Spires climbing area at 3.4 miles. Paddlers can head to Hills Creek, roughly 4.9 miles off, and Salmon Creek Falls campground is about 5.3 miles away.
