Wave Wall is a climbing area in Ohio, about 0.8 miles from the town of Hanover. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Warm-Up Wall, Katz Wall and Poison Ivy Wall ("The Cave") all within about a tenth of a mile. That makes it easy to pair with other climbs in the same cluster. The area offers both bouldering and sport climbing. Of the 14 routes listed, eight are boulders and six are sport routes. The boulders run from V2+ up to V8, with the sport routes typically in the 5.10+ to 5.12b/c range. Some of the boulders have names like Short Stop, Get Pitted and Hot Pants, and several were first ascended by Steve Sandmann. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Newark show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. The Marie Hickey Trail is about 1.5 miles away, and the Canal and Lock Trail is about 2.3 miles away. Paddlers can reach Rocky Fork, about 7.2 miles off, and the Equestrian Camp and Day Use site is about 8.7 miles away.
