Lookout Trail is a 1.5-mile loop in Shawnee State Park in southern Ohio, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail rises from a low point of 685 feet to a high of 993 feet, with an elevation gain of 315 feet, and is rated easy. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lucasville show May highs around 76°F and September highs around 81°F, with the station sitting about 425 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler.
