Pine Knoll Shores: Dayton Place is a public beach access point in North Carolina, managed by Pine Knoll Shores and located about half a mile from the town of Pine Knoll Shores. There is no fee to use it. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Two nature trails sit about half a mile away: the Alice G. Hoffman Nature Trail and the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Trail.
