Topridge Quad is a ski touring route on Gore Mountain Ski Center in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. The route is an out-and-back that starts at about 2,220 feet and climbs to 3,203 feet, with a total gain of 982 feet. The climb is front-loaded, and the steepest stretch comes within the first third of the route, where the grade reaches about 41%. Winter is the natural season for this kind of outing. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Indian Lake, which sits well below the summit, show January highs around 25°F with lows near 6°F. That station's figures run cooler than conditions on the mountain, so expect colder temperatures at the top. Several other ski touring routes lie within a short drive, including Sunway and Northwoods Gondola, both about 1.2 miles away, and North Quad at about 1.5 miles. Climbers can find Chatiemac Cliff roughly 0.7 miles from the route.
