The Taconic Bridge Trail is a 2.8-mile point-to-point hike on city-managed land in the Town of Yorktown Parkland in New York. It rises from about 636 feet to 664 feet, with a total elevation gain of 364 feet, and is rated easy. The trail is on city land, and the climb is gentle enough to fit into a short outing. The route is a straightforward walk, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 37 percent. The trail is open to bikes, and horses are not allowed. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yorktown run to highs around 70°F in May and 74°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Mountain bikers will find the L Trail - Dynamite Run and the R Trail about 0.1 mile away. Climbers can head to Rocky Glen Pond and Blue Mountain Park, both about 5.6 miles off, and paddlers can reach the Croton River at about 7.6 miles.
