Long Swing Trail is a 3.4-mile easy hike in the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. The trail rises from about 1,200 feet to about 1,460 feet, with the steepest stretch at the start, where the grade reaches about 24 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Newcomb weather station show July highs around 77°F with lows near 53°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Bikes are not allowed on this trail. Pharaoh Mountain Trail lies about half a mile away, and Grizzle Ocean Trail and Pharaoh Lake Loop Trail are each within a mile. Climbers can find Devil's Washdish about 1.3 miles off.
