Blue Trail is a 2.1-mile loop hike in New York, about 0.6 miles from the town of Lake Katonah. The trail is rated easy, with a total elevation gain of 491 feet and a total loss of 478 feet over the course of the loop. The climb is steepest at about 1.6 miles in, where the grade reaches 24 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Bikes and horses are not allowed on the trail. The White Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Meadow Trail and Yellow Trail are each about 0.4 mile off. For climbing, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is about 4.6 miles away.
