Mapleridge Park campground sits just under a mile from Crown Point, New York, and offers a mix of camping, day-use and amenities that make it a practical base for exploring the area. The park has boat parking, and daily visitors can use the showers, pool, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi without paying a fee. The grounds also have a horseshoes court, a ladder ball court, a basketball court and a children's playground, along with scheduled events and gatherings. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cornwall, Vermont, show July highs around 80°F with lows near 60°F, while winter brings highs in the 20s and regular snow days from December through February. For more time outdoors, Route 9N and the Champlain Valley Trail (Ticonderoga to Westport) both start within about a mile and a half. The North Country National Scenic Trail lies about 4 miles away, and paddlers can head to La Chute, roughly 8.5 miles off.
