Cherry Ridge Camping Area is a primitive campground in Charles E. Baker State Forest in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits within the forest's land unit and is set up for first-come, first-served camping at designated sites. The Moscow Hill Assembly area, about 1.8 miles away, is the only place here where RVs and trailers can be parked. The camp has picnic tables and fire pits, and potable water is available. There is no fee to camp here. Summer is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sherburne run to highs around 80°F in July and 72°F in September, and the station sits several hundred feet lower than the ridge, so temperatures on the ridge run a bit cooler. Truck Trail 12 starts just 0.1 mile away, and Truck Trail 8 and Truck Trail 7 are both within about 1.6 miles. The Moscow Hill Assembly Area is about 1.8 miles off.
