Challenge Trail is a short out-and-back route in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in northern New Mexico, about 0.8 miles long with a total elevation gain of 223 feet. The trail climbs from about 9,958 feet to about 10,197 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. Dogs are allowed on this trail. It works well as a short addition to a day on the surrounding XC ski trails or a hike in the area. The 10K Trail North and the Double Eagle Trail (23) both sit about 0.1 mile away, and the 10K Trail South and the Sandia Xc Ski Loop (15) (Groomed) are about 0.3 mile off. Climbers can find Yucca Flower Tower and Bush Shark Area roughly 0.8 mile from the trail.
