Second Tunnel is a climbing area in the Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Broken Arrows and Left Arrow both about 0.1 mile away. The area has eight routes, five of them sport and three trad, with grades ranging from 5.5 to 5.14a. The hardest is Soylent Green at 5.14a, and the easiest is Sierra Corazon at 5.5. Double Sidewinder Splitter is a trad route at 5.10b, and Out of the Shadows is a sport route at the same grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Jemez Springs weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 70°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F with more wet days. The Rio Guadalupe, a canoeing spot, is about 0.9 mile away, and Vista Linda campground is about 2.7 miles off. Porter Trail and Monastery Trail are both within about 5 miles.
