Main Wall is an alpine climbing area in the Questa Ranger District of Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land, and the Alpine Lite Cliffs sit just 0.1 mile away. The area draws alpine climbers, and its five routes range from 5.6 to 5.10+. The West Face Ramble is the easiest, at 5.6, while The German and the Scot and Highrise Buttress Left are both about 5.10. All are alpine routes, and their names carry the style. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Cerro weather station, about 9 miles away, put July highs near 83°F with lows around 49°F. Winter is cold, with January highs in the upper 30s. Lama Canyon Trail #98 and Lobo Peak Trail #57 are both about 3.5 miles away for a walk. Miner's Crag, also about 3.5 miles off, offers more climbing. Lower Hondo campground is about 6.4 miles away.
