Los Huevos is a sport climbing area in the Jemez Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with The Subdivisions, Retirement Wall and Leaning Tower all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all sport, and the routes run from about 5.10b up to 5.12d. The most common grade is 5.11b, with the hardest route being La Parkita at 5.12d. The area's five routes include Puerto de Luna at 5.11a and Pumping Huevos at 5.11b, both first ascents by William Penner and Tom Ellis. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Los Alamos show July highs around 74°F with lows near 45°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. The station sits about 350 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures at the crag run a little cooler. For a walk, the East Fork Trail (137) is about 0.3 mile away. Jemez Falls Campground, roughly 3.6 miles off, offers a place to stay.
