About

Jonathan's Woods is a park managed by the Morris County Park Commission in northern New Jersey, about 2.5 miles from the town of Mountain Lakes. Fall is a comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Boonton weather station, about 4 miles away, put September highs near 77°F and October highs around 64°F, with fewer wet days than spring. Several trails start right at hand, including Little Bear Trail (Green), Ridge Trail (Blue) and the Orange band trail, all within about a third of a mile. Climbers can find Hogs Pen about 0.2 miles away.
