Upstream of Attention is a bouldering area in Nevada, set within the Robert B. Griffith Water Project on land managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Center of Attention Boulder, Double D Boulders and Local Blob all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the area. They range from V2 to V3 on the V scale, and the names of the routes—Backside, Front left, Front Right, Right side and Downstream side—suggest they are clustered around different sides of a single boulder or group of boulders. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 81°F in April to about 84°F in October, while July highs average 107°F. That station sits about 500 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock may run a little cooler. The Movaje Desert Nature Trail is about 3.7 miles away, and the Las Vegas Wetlands are about 4.5 miles off. Mountain bikers can head to Ernie's Extra (FKA Caesar) at about 4.4 miles, and paddlers can reach Las Vegas Wash at about 8.9 miles.
