Local Blob is a bouldering area in Nevada, set within the Robert B. Griffith Water Project on land managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Big Sandy, Center of Attention Boulder and Double D Boulders all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the V0 to V4 range. Dihedral and Left Traverse are the easiest at V0, Right Arete is V2, Arete is V3, and Right face is the hardest at V4. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 81°F in April to about 84°F in October, while July highs average 107°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the boulders may run slightly cooler. Nearby, the Movaje Desert Nature Trail is about 3.6 miles away, and the Las Vegas Wetlands are about 4.6 miles off. Mountain bikers can head to Ernie's Extra (FKA Caesar) at about 4.4 miles, and paddlers can reach Las Vegas Wash at about 8.9 miles.
