Gold Strike Canyon is a climbing area in Nevada's Lake Mead National Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service. The canyon lies within the recreation area's Lake unit, and several climbing and hiking destinations sit close by, making it an easy addition to a trip that includes other spots in the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 84°F with lows near 59°F, while July highs average about 107°F. That station sits roughly 580 feet lower than the canyon, so temperatures here run cooler. The area is known for bouldering, with five boulder routes listed among its six total routes. Grades range from V0- to V7 on the V scale, and the hardest is Mushroom Traverse at V7. The Ladders and Jawas are two of the lower-grade options.
