Front Slabs is a climbing area in Nevada on Bureau of Land Management land within the Las Vegas Field Office. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons for climbing here. Typical averages from the weather station at Searchlight, about 17 miles away, show April highs near 73°F with lows around 48°F and October highs near 77°F with lows around 55°F. Summer highs there climb into the mid-90s. The station sits roughly 640 feet away in elevation, so conditions at the rock can differ somewhat from those figures.
