Clover Creek is a hard hike of about 8.4 miles in the Austin-Tonopah Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It is an out-and-back route that gains about 3,709 feet, climbing from a low point of around 6,717 feet to a high of about 7,772 feet. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 76°F in June to about 83°F in July, while winter highs sit in the low 40s. The trail is open from about June 15 to October 30. Other hikes within about 5 miles include Pott Hole Valley Road, Horse Canyon and Fandangos.
