The 1/3-Mile Trail is a short, easy hike in Sunset Park on county land in Nevada, about 0.7 miles long. It's an out-and-back route that starts and ends at roughly 2,012 feet, with a total climb of about 22 feet and a total descent of about 22 feet. The trail is flat, so it works well for a quick walk or a stop on the way to another part of the park. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 79°F and October highs around 81°F, while July averages about 105°F. Bikes are allowed on the trail. The 2/3-Mile Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the 1-Mile Trail and 1/2-Mile Trail are each about 0.4 mile off. For a longer outing, the Legacy Learning Loop is about 1.8 miles away.
