Ward Mountain Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Ely Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It sits within the Ward Mountain Recreation Area, and the Forest Service manages the land. Vault toilets are the only facility listed for the site. A fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ruth, Nevada, show July highs around 84°F with lows near 47°F, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through March. Several trails and another campground lie close by. Ward Loop K is a hike about 0.2 miles away, and Ward Loop F is a mountain biking route at the same distance. Ward Mtn.
