Sawlog Creek
About
Sawlog Creek is a boat launch on Bureau of Land Management land in the Western Montana District, about 15 miles from the town of Wise River in southwest Montana. The site is a simple put-in for boats on BLM ground. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. A nearby weather station records typical average highs around 79°F in July and August, with lows in the upper 30s. Winters there are cold, with typical January highs near 31°F. Several other spots lie within a short drive. The Trident Peak - Foolhen hike is about 3.6 miles away and Mudd Lake about 5 miles off. For fishing, East Bank Rec Site is roughly 8 miles away, and Pintler Campground, about 9 miles distant, offers a place to stay overnight.
