Deer Creek Sneak is a mountain biking route in the Missoula Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The ride covers about 4 miles with a total elevation gain of 844 feet, climbing from a starting point near 4,263 feet to a high point of 4,309 feet before descending to a low of 3,514 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.55 miles in, with a grade of about 13 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Missoula show July and August highs in the mid-80s with lows around 50 degrees, while winter brings highs in the low 30s and regular snow days from December through February. That station sits roughly 900 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Several other trails lie within a short drive. The University Mountain Trail and Deer Creek Ridge Trail are both under a mile away, and the Crazy Canyon Cutoff F and University Ridge mountain biking routes are about 1.5 to 1.7 miles off.
