Saint Patrick Peak is a hard hike of about 11 miles on an out-and-back route in the Ninemile Ranger District of Montana's Lolo National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail climbs from about 4,165 feet to the summit at 6,664 feet, with a total gain of about 1,521 feet. The route is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed, according to the Forest Service's trail records. Saint Patrick Peak Summit lies about 1.7 miles away, and French Lake is about 3.9 miles off. For an overnight stay, Quartz Flat Campground (MT) is about 6 miles away and Clearwater Crossing Campground about 7 miles.
