Clarks Canyon is a hard hike in the Helena Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana, about 6 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,236 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, starting at a low point of about 5,576 feet and reaching a high of about 6,736 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is natural-surfaced and open year-round. Bikes are allowed, so the trail works for hikers and riders alike. The climb is a steady one, and the route's length and gain make it a serious outing rather than a short walk. Nearby, Wf Clarks Canyon lies about 1.8 miles away, and Deadwood Gulch T2 is about 3 miles off. Upper Hope Gulch and Faith Gulch are both within about 5 miles.
