Bighorn Lake is a 3-mile out-and-back hike in the Scapegoat Wilderness, part of the Lincoln Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. The trail rises from about 7,500 feet to a high point of 8,288 feet, with a total elevation gain of 787 feet. It is an easy route, and the Forest Service manages the land. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses, but not bikes. It is not an accessible trail. The trip is open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. Sheep Creek Trail lies about 2 miles away, and Switchback Hill Trail and Crow Creek Trail are each within about 3.5 miles. For an overnight stay, Copper Creek Campground is roughly 8 miles off.
