Bartlett is a hard hike in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, part of the Spotted Bear Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana. The nearest town is Packers, about 18 miles away. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 4,650 feet to about 7,586 feet, with a total gain of roughly 2,800 feet. The route is natural-surface and allows horses.
