Baree Creek is a hard hike in the Libby Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 6.6 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,917 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and makes an out-and-back route, starting at a low point of about 3,727 feet and reaching a high of about 5,948 feet. The nearest town is Libby, and the Forest Service manages the land. The climb is steep, so plan for a long day on foot. Bear Lakes and Silver Butte Creek are both within about a mile and a half, and Divide Cutoff is a little farther out. For an overnight base, Lake Creek Campground sits about 6 miles away.
