Hicks Park is a Forest Service campground in Montana's Custer Gallatin National Forest, within the Yellowstone Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land. Vault toilets are the only listed facility. A fee is charged for recreation here. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Mystic Lake weather station run to highs around 75°F in July and 74°F in August, with lows near 50°F. Winters are cold, with January highs averaging about 34°F. Hikes start close by: Bridge Creek is about 0.6 miles away and Upsidedown Creek about 0.8 miles. The Mile 18 climbing area is about 2.1 miles off, and Fourmile Cabin offers camping roughly 3 miles away.
