East Boulder is a Forest Service campground in the Yellowstone Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana. It sits within the national forest's recreation sites, and the land is managed by the Forest Service. The site has vault toilets, and no fees are required to use it. That makes it a simple, low-cost base for exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 83°F with lows in the upper 40s, while winter brings highs near 40°F and regular snow days from December through February. Several other spots lie within a few miles. Green Mountain is a hike about 2.5 miles away, and the Blueberry Wall and Antiquities Wall climbing areas are both within 3 miles. The Boulder River-Great Falls Trail is about 4.8 miles off.
