Big Beaver is a Forest Service campground in the Yellowstone Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana. It sits within the national forest's boundaries, and the nearest town is Livingston, about 20 miles away. The site is simple, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. No fees are required to use it, which makes it an easy stop for an overnight stay in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 86°F with lows near 50°F, while September cools to highs around 74°F. Winters are cold, with January highs in the upper 30s. Aspen campground is about half a mile away, and Great Falls Creek and the Boulder River-Great Falls Trail are both within about 2 miles. For climbing, Natural Bridge and Falls is roughly 6 miles off.
