Lake Bemidji State Park is a 1,614-acre state park in northern Minnesota, about 4 miles from the town of Turtle River. The land is managed by the state park agency, and the park holds three campgrounds within its boundaries, making it a base for overnight stays as well as day visits. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July highs reach about 79°F with lows near 58°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Cass Lake. Winters are severe, with January highs around 18°F and lows near -4°F. Several cross-country ski trails sit within a few miles, including the Red Trail at about 2.3 miles and the Blue Trail at about 2.6 miles. For hiking, the Meadow Lake Hwt is roughly 7 miles away, and Lake Andrusia Boat Site offers lake fishing about 9 miles out.
