Holly State Recreation Area
About
Holly State Recreation Area is a 9-acre park in Michigan, about 2.7 miles from the town of Ortonville. The land is managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July highs reach about 82°F with lows near 59°F, and September cools to around 74°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Goodrich. Paddlers can head to Kearsley Creek, about 8 miles away, or the Huron River, just under 10 miles off. Hikers have Turkeyfoot Trail at a similar distance and the Fossil Hill Loop a little farther out.
