Grassland Loop is a short, flat loop hike of about 0.56 miles in Michigan, roughly 0.7 miles from the town of Twelve Corners. It sits close to several other short trails, so it works well as a single outing or as a link in a longer walk across the area. The route is easy and nearly flat. The loop stays within a few feet of its low point at about 640 feet, with a high of about 648 feet, and the total elevation gain is zero. The climb profile is flat, with a slight drop of about 24 feet in the process of looping back. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Benton Harbor run to highs around 69°F in May and 74°F in September. July is the warmest month there, with typical highs near 82°F. Rolling Meadow Loop starts about 0.1 mile away, and River Trail and Lowland Trail are within half a mile. Sassafras Lane is about 0.7 miles off.
