Bear Track Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Manistee Ranger District of the Huron-Manistee National Forest in Michigan. It is a simple base for overnight stays, with vault toilets as the only listed amenity. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Wellston run to highs around 81°F in July and 79°F in August, with lows in the low 50s. Winters are cold, with January highs near 28°F. Pine Lake Recreation Area Campground is about 3.5 miles away, and Sand Lake Campground is about 5 miles off. The Big M Bike routes, including Lumberjack and Swedish Fiddle, are also within about 4 miles. Paddlers can reach the Big Sable River, roughly 7 miles away.
