Fort Wilkins State Park-East
About
Fort Wilkins State Park-East is a public lake beach in Michigan, about half a mile from the town of Copper Harbor. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July and August highs run around 73°F with lows in the mid-50s, based on long-term averages from the Copper Harbor Ft Wilkins weather station less than half a mile away. The surrounding area has plenty of trails within a few miles. The Here We Go hike is about 1.6 miles away, and the Horseshoe Harbor Trail cross-country ski route is about 1.8 miles off. Farther out, the Bertha Daubendiek Memorial Grove Trail and Cathedral Grove Loop Trail are both within about 2.4 miles.
