First Street Beach
About
First Street Beach is a public lake beach in Michigan, about a mile from the town of Manistee. It's a simple, close-to-town spot for reaching the lakeshore without a long drive. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. At a nearby weather station, typical July averages run around 80°F in the afternoon and near 59°F overnight, with June and August close behind. Several outdoor options lie within about ten miles. The Cross Country Ski Trail is roughly 4 miles away and the Marzinski Horse Trail about 6 miles out. A little farther, the Lake Michigan Recreation Area offers camping, and the Arrowhead Trail is about 10 miles from the beach.
