Petroleum Base Buttress is a climbing area in Den Rock Park, a city-managed park in Massachusetts. It sits within the park's own boundaries, about 0.1 mile from the Den Rock Park climbing area and the Desperado climbing area, which makes it easy to pair with other routes in the park. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lawrence show May highs around 68°F and September highs around 74°F, while July peaks near 83°F and January highs sit around 35°F.
